photos courtesy Paige Randa On September 23, Bryce and Kelsey Mitteis of Verdigre welcomed their twins, Henley and Drake, into the world. Due to their very early arrival (the twins were due in December) they remain in Sioux Falls receiving medical care. Kelsey is the 4th grade teacher at Verdigre Public Schools, and is the volleyball and one of the track coaches for the N-V Cougars. On November 7, there will be a benefit at the ZCBJ Hall in Verdigre to help fund the family's medical and travel expenses. Starting at 6 p.m, there will be a silent auction and then at 7 p.m they will show the Husker game. A DJ will conclude the evening. There will also be a drawing for a gun, 5 bags of seed corn, and an Olympic Jersey signed by Jordan Larson-Burbach. Raffle tickets can be purchased at Verdigre Public School. Contact Ryan Zerbe with any questions: (402) 841-4187. Accounts have been set up for the family at: Brunswick State Bank - P.O Box 131, Winnetoon, NE 68789 and Midwest Bank - P.O Box 60, Creighton, NE 68729.
