Bloomfield hosted the Eagles of Allen this evening in its final regular season game of the season.
After a slow start by both side, the Queen Bees found some momentum at the mid point of the first quarter. A big three by Michaela Johnson followed by a three-pointer by Michelle Wachter energized the Bloomfield Team. The girls led through the first at at 11-6.
The Bees continued momentum through most of the second quarter as well until the Eagles put up a couple fieldgoals and a free throw to stay close. Jaiden Johnson found a fieldgoal with 0:17 seconds left to extend the Queen Bees' lead to 7 at half.
Kate Bruns start the second half scoring off with her first on the night. Bloomfield would put up another score before Allen would rally for its only seven points in the quarter. Emma Fiedler dropped her second score of the night followed by Wachter finishing out the quarter with 2 fieldgoals.
Both sides scored back and forth through most of the fourth quarter totalling up 35 points between the teams. Seniors Wachter and Fiedler score 13 of 17 points along with Ella McFarland putting up the remaining four.
The Queen Bees showed solid free throws and controlled most of the evening to take a solid win away before heading into subdistricts next week.
The Queen Bees will travel to Hartington next Monday where they will meet Allen in the first game of the tournament. The winner of this game will face Wynot on Febuary 13.
