Funeral Services For Shirley McBroom

Memorial services for Shirley McBroom, age 93, of Norfolk, Nebraska will be held at a later date.

Brockhaus-Howser-Fillmer Funeral Home in Norfolk is in charge of arrangements.

Shirley died Wednesday, April 12, 2017, at Faith Regional Health Services in Norfolk.

Shirley L. McBroom, daughter of Everett and Irene (Martin) Witten, was born August 28, 1923, at Seattle, Washington. She graduated from Lincoln High School in Seattle. On April 1, 1950, Shirley was united in marriage to Jack McBroom in Seattle. They were the parents of two children, Karen and Marty.
Shirley was a member of the Presbyterian Church.

Shirley is survived by her son, Marty McBroom of Washington, DC; daughter, Karen (Jim) Tikalsky of Niobrara, Nebraska; two grandchildren, Jacque (Mychajlo) Eliaszewskyj, United Kingdom and Alan Tikalsky of Lincoln, Nebraska; and three great-grandchildren, Lydia, Natalia, and Viktor Eliaszewskyj.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Everett and Irene Witten; and sister, Marian Witten.
