Niobrara State Park Hosts Cross Country Meet Thursday

Over 100 runners from Northeast Nebraska competed in the Niobrara-Verdigre Cross Country meet at the Niobrara State Park on Thursday.  With temperatures in the 90's it was a true test of endurance to finish the 3.1 mile course.  Athletes from Crofton, Creighton, Stanton, Hartington, Randolph, Niobrara-Verdigre,Osmond, Bloomfield-Wausa, and Neligh-Oakdale took to the tough course filled with hills and curves. Water, cold cloths, and popsicles waited for all those competing in the race. There was also a junior high 1-mile race following the high school races.
