Niobrara’s Moody Motor Company participated in this years annual Drive 4 UR School fundraising event.

The fundraising event is a fun and engaging way to help schools raise money to help with certain activities or items that need funding, that schools may not have room in the budget for.

Ford and Ford Lincoln Dealerships partner with local high schools to conduct a one day Ford test-drive fundraising event for the surrounding community. Ford donates $20 for every application that is completely filled out, with a goal of raising up to $6,000 total.

This year Moody Motor Company registered 255 people and raised $5,080 for the Niobrara Public School.

Owner of Moody Motor, Matt Moody said the event didn’t cost too much. The Ford dealership purchased fuel for vehicles and staff that helped fill out forms. Moody said it was a great event, and the best part was to give back to school,

“Schools always struggle for funds with different things, whether its uniforms, sporting equipment, band equipment or extra curricular activities. This was a way they publicized it and we teamed up with the school. Both of us were able to join in and it didn’t cost a lot of money, it just cost us our time and participation.”

Drive 4 UR School, which was launched in 2012, has been so successful that Ford has expanded the opportunity to include local community non-profit organizations.
