Man Arrested In Niobrara For Assaulting An Officer

On December 6, at about 5:38 a.m., the Knox County Sheriff’s Office received a 911 call in reference to a disturbance involving two females and two males at an appartment in Niobrara. 

​Shortly thereafter, a call was also received of an individual passed out in the Post Office in Niobrara.
 
Two Knox County Deputies and a Nebraska State Patrol Trooper responded to the disturbance along with a Niobrara Police Officer who responded from Bloomfield. 

Prior to arrival, the two males had left the premises of 256 Willow Lane Apt #5.  Information pertaining to the incident was gathered by the Niobrara Police Officer.
 
After leaving the apartment, contact was made with the passed out individual at the Post Office who was Rodney Thomas from Bloomfield.  Upon making contact with the individual, he became combative and was essentially arrested for an assault on an officer.

Rodney Thomas was booked into the Knox County Jail and reports will be forwarded to the Knox County Attorney.
