July 4th Buffalo Cookout And Humanities Program At NSP

Sign up early for the buffalo cookout  at the Niobrara State Park Buffalo Cookout Shelter.  The cost is $13 for adults and $8 for children under 13.  The cookout will begin at 6 pm on Saturday, July 4. Reservations for the meal are required and must be made by noon Saturday.
Entertainment this week, immediately follow the dinner, will be "Woodie Guthrie:  Re-envisioning 1930's America" by Kathryn N, Benzel and Mike Adams. It is part of the Nebraska Humanities Program.  Guthrie was a significant American folk-song writer. He championed the underdog and our pioneer spirit.
There is no charge for the entertainment and it is open to the public. However, a park entry permit is required.
