Death Penalty Petition Can Be Signed Saturday In Niobrara

In late May of this year, the Nebraska Legislature abolished the death penalty in the state.  Since then, constituents from one end of Nebraska to the other have been gathering signatures to put the issue on a ballot.  They want to let the people decide this issue.  
Voters in Niobrara will have the chance to sign the petition tomorrow.  Don Henery will be at the mall in Niobrara this Saturday, Aug 8th 1:00 pm- 2:00 pm with the death penalty petition. The deadline is coming up fast so if you want your name on the petition, time is short to do so.
