Warriors Upset Valentine To Move To Round Of Four

The journey to Valentine didn't affect Crofton too much.

The Warriors were still able to come away with a win over the second-seeded Valentine Badgers, 27-20.

At one point late in the game, Crofton held a 21-20 lead and it looked as if the Badgers would score to take the lead but the Warrior defense held up on the goal line to secure the win.

The win continues Crofton's quest for their first state championship in school history. They are hoping to reach the finals for just the second time, the first being in 2003 when they finished runner up to Cambridge.

To do so, they will have to get past a Battle Creek squad that shut down the Crofton attack less than a month ago, beating the Warriors 14-0. The two teams will meet for the rematch Friday in Crofton, with kickoff time yet to be announced.
