State Track: Crofton Leads Class C Standings After 1st Day

Crofton sprinted to an early lead in the Class C girls team race thanks to a gold medal in the 3200-meter relay. After the first day, they are leading with 29 points.

The Warriors' 4x800 team won the event in 9:37.93. Team members are Kelsey Sanger, Allison Arens, Monica Arens and Quinn Wragge.

Maria Wortmann finished second in the discus with a toss of 134-6. She was edged by McKenna Rezny of Wilber-Clatonia with a throw of 138-2. Monica Arens finished 13th at 106-4.

In the 3200, Haley and Allison Arens finished third and fourth, respectively. Haley ran an 11:38.50 while Allison ran 11:38.94.
