State Track: Crofton Dominates Class C 1600, Shot Put

Crofton added big points to its already dominating lead at the state track meet with a 1-3 finish in the 1600 and a 2-3 finish in the shot put. 

Senior Allison Arens won the 1600-meter state championship while freshman Haley Arens wasn't far behind, finishing third. Allison ran the mile in 5:16.6 while Haley's time was 5:21.42. 

In the shot put, senior Maria Wortmann was runner-up with a toss of 42-9.75. Sophomore Monica Arens was third with her throw of 41-10.75. 

Crofton isn't done yet. The Warriors still have the 1600 Relay, where they have the third-best time from districts.
