One man has been hospitalized after injuries from a grass fire.
Dave Hanson, the Crofton, Neb. Fire Chief, says around 12 p.m on Friday, the fire department got word of a grass fire at Kholes Acres in Crofton, Neb. The incident occurred as heavy winds knocked over ashes in a burn barrel, resulting in a grass fire that stretched 30 acres. Authorities say an elderly man attempted to put out the fire at its early stages, but was unsuccessful. He suffered burns on both legs and was transferred to Avera-Sacred Heart Hospital. * * * * Courtesy US92 |
