Kids Fishing Clinic Saturday At Weigand Marina

The Lewis and Clark State Recreation Area - Weigand Marina - will be the setting for a children's fishing clinic this Saturday afternoon.  Hosted by the Nebraska Walleye Association, (NWA), the clinic will be held from 4 to 5pm. Participants and their parents are invited to attend the tournament weigh in at 3pm and stay for the clinic to follow.
Certified fishing instructors from the NWA will be on hand to teach many fishing basics to the participants.  They will demonstrate skills such as casting, knot tying, bait, tackle, water safety and fish identification and anatomy.
Each child who attends will receive a free fishing rod, reel and tackle.  CJ's at the Lake will also provide a candy bar and pop after the clinic.
