Crofton Juniors Advance To District Championship

Crofton scored nine runs in two innings to outlast Neligh on Monday night and advance to the Class C, Area 1 Junior Legion Championship.

Crofton outhit Neligh just 9-7 but took advantage of opportunities for the 14-8 win in Neligh, to end the Neligh Legion Post #172's season.

Crofton advances to Tuesday's 6 p.m. championship against Atkinson and must beat Atkinson twice to qualify for state.
