The Crofton Lady Warriors will take the court in 2016 with a familiar name in charge and high hopes.

Susie Johnson will once again lead the Warriors as they look to return the state playoffs for the fourth year in a row. Crofton has posted at least 20 wins in each of their last three seasons as well.

The roster is heavy with senior leadership from those winning seasons, as seniors Alicia Proctor, Lauren Steffen, Mariah Sage, Kelsey Sanger, Madison Johnson and Monica Arens all returning.

The Lady Warriors will take the first step towards a return trip to state when they compete in the Wynot Invite September 1.

The Crofton Warriors football team have their sites set on improving on a great 2015 that saw them qualify for the state playoffs after a 7-2 regular season.

Returning to lead the Warriors for a second year is coach Tom Allen. Allen brings with him a roster that is loaded with talent, including all-state candidate Tanner Crosley. Crosley, a running back, rushed for 23 touchdowns in 2015. Big-bodied receiver Grant Wragge also returns after accounting for 527 yards receiving last year.

Look for Crofton to continue their strong play as they open the season August 26 against Wisner-Pilger at home.
