Crofton Eliminated From State Junior Baseball Tournament

Malcolm broke a 7-all tie in the eighth inning Monday night in the Class C Junior State Baseball tournament to end Crofton's season. 

At Greg Paesl Memorial Field in Creighton, Crofton dropped a 10-7 decision in eight innings. 

Led by Mason Dedick's two-run homer, Malcolm held a two-run lead going into the bottom of the seventh inning. Crofton battled back to tie the game in the top of the eighth.

But Malcolm responded with three runs, one on a balk, to secure the win in Game 10. Malcolm will play Louisville/Weeping Water at 5 p.m. on Tuesday.
