Arens Earns Third, Crofton Finishes Seventh In Team Race

The Crofton Warriors traveled as a team to the state meet and will be returning home with a bit of hardware.

That is thanks to junior Haley Arens who led the team to a seventh place finish in the team standings with her third place with a time of 19:34.95. Rylee Rice of Ainsworth finished in first with a time of 18:34.28.

Senior Krista Zavadil finished 29th with a time of 22:12.85. Mariah Dendinger, a senior, finished 49th with a time of 22:58.93 and sophomore Jessica Lange finished 53rd at 23:13.91. Freshman Keirra Vornhagen finished 89th in the 148 runner field with a time of 26:17.31 and Hannah Steffen, a junior, finished 92nd at 26:41.75 to round out the Crofton runners. 

As a team, Crofton averaged a time of 22:00.16.
