The Creighton golf team shot a 350 on the first day - just three strokes behind third-place Dundy County-Stratton at Meadowlark Hills Golf Course.
Overton leads the team competition with a 328 while Randolph shot a 336.
The Bulldogs were led on the first day by freshman Chase Largen, who shot an 81. Zachary Zeleski of Overton and Kyon Neal of McPherson County each carded a 77 to lead Class D.
Cole Wetzler is tied currently tied for 13th with an 84. Connor Baldwin shot a 92, Brady Brockhaus had a 94 and Alex Zimmerer finished with a 93.
Tee-times for the Bulldogs on Thursday are 9:50 a.m. for Wetzler, 10 a.m. for Brockhaus and 10:10 a.m. for Largen, Baldwin and Zimmerer.
