A Creighton freshman was named the Class D singles state champion in bowling.
Brittani Pospisil bowled a three-game 520 at the recent state tournament of the Nebraska High School Bowling Federation.
Pospisil competed with the Plainview High School bowling team this season. As a team, Plainview earned the Class D state runner-up title for 2016.
For Pospisil, bowling has been a longtime activity. Pospisil said her passion for bowling comes from her family.
Her parents, Jerry and Diane Pospisil, have owned Jerry’s Bar and Lanes for 30 years. Growing up in this family business, Pospisil said she spent a lot of time at the bowling lane.
“I love to bowl. My brother and I used to compete against each other all the time growing up,” Pospisil said.
Pospisil said she was excited for the opportunity to bowl with a team on the high school level.
“I am part of the Plainview team because they are part of the Nebraska High School Bowling Federation. The girls on my team are awesome. We earned runner-up at state this year in Class D,” Pospisil said. “I am excited to be part of this team.”
