Crofton, Creighton Advance - Will Play Each Other Tonight

Crofton and Creighton both won their first-round games at the Class C Junior State Baseball tournament, advancing to face each other - again.

Crofton defeated North Bend/Morse Bluffs 11-0, and Creighton topped Palmer-Wobach-Greeley (PWG) 3-1. The two Knox County teams will play each other at 8 p.m tonight at Greg Paesl Memorial Field in Creighton.

In earlier games on Saturday, Battle Creek kicked off the tournament with a 13-3 win over Malcolm. Louisville then defeated Alma 5-4. Battle Creek and Louisville will play at 5 p.m. 

State action begins today at 11 a.m. Malcolm and Alma playing in the first loser's bracket game. North Bend/Morse Bluffs and PWG will play at 2 p.m.
