Clearwater-Orchard and Creighton went the distance, going all five sets before the Bulldogs pulled out the win.
Clearwater-Orchard looked like they were going to take control early, winning the first two sets 25-21 and 25-20. From there, however, the Bulldogs took over, winning the next two sets 25-17 and 25-22 to force a deciding fifth set.
In the fifth set, it was all Bulldogs as they took the match with a 15-7 win.
Creighton was excellent on the defensive end, recording 91 digs as a team. Maycey Forker led the way with 21 digs, Makayla Brockhaus pulled up 19, Sydney Walton accounted for 18 digs, Bailey Zimmerer was responsible for 13 digs and Ashtyn Fritz accounted for 11 digs.
Kirsten Adams and Chelsea Boelter did their part on defense as well, recording 10 and nine kills, respectively.
On the offensive end, Boelter held her own at the net, recording 15 kills.
The Bulldogs now must focus on undefeated Elgin Public/Pope John as they come to town on Thursday.
