Creighton Ends Baseball Season With Loss To Pender

The season came to an end tonight for the Creighton Seniors at the Class C state baseball tournament in Hebron. 

Pender defeated Creighton 9-3.

Creighton held a 2-0 lead after the first inning, but Pender put six runs up in the fourth inning to open up a close game. 


Pender scored nine runs on eight hits and left five runners stranded.

Creighton scored the first two runs of the game but did not score again until the sixth. They finished with three runs on three hits and left  seven on base.

Caleb Hansen recorded the win in a complete game with seven strikeouts. Brady Zimmer struck out three but took the loss.

Carson Tietz lead the offensive attack for Pender with two hits.

Pender advanced to the next round against an opponent to be determined after the winners bracket game at 8 p.m.
