Children Approached In Creighton, Offered Candy

The Creighton Police Department is offering a warning after an adult male allegedly approached children as they walked home from school.

On Thursday, the police department said an adult male with facial hair driving a brown or tan SUV asked children walking home from school if they wanted candy.

"He said it twice to the children before the kids ran home," the release stated.

The vehicle also was occupied by three juveniles in the back seat.

"There has only been one report of this sighting," the release said. "Stranger danger talk with the children could be beneficial."
