A Bloomfield runner and the entire Creighton boys team qualified for state after competing in the D-3 District cross country meet in Ainsworth on Thursday.
Bloomfield senior Kyle Young took the final qualifying spot at the district meet, finishing in 15th place with a time of 19:12.7.
Creighton junior Garrison Hazen led the way for the Bulldogs with a 7th place finish in 18:14.1, followed by Zachary Hazen in 11th place (18:48.5). The team finished in 3rd place as a team, qualifying the entire team for the state meet. Rounding out Creighton's team were Colten Adams (30th-20:13.9); Connor Hazen (33rd-20:22.2) and Tegan Mclean (47th-21:30.6).
The NSAA State Cross Country Championships will be held at the Kearney Country Club on Friday, October 23. The approximate starting times are: Girls Class D—2 p.m. and Boys Class D—3 p.m.
