Local Businesses Warned Of Possible Scam

Knox County Economic Development issued a warning Monday about an out-of-state organization has been calling Knox County businesses about advertising with their tourism/community service project.

The release said to be aware this is NOT through Knox County nor do any of the funds collected go toward Knox County. Please do not confuse their sales pitch with the Knox County Visitors Guide or any other local Knox County projects.

They thanked the businesses for alerting us and being cautious about out-of-state companies claiming to represent Knox County. Please share to spread the word!!
