Bloomfield Travels To Columbus For Mathcounts

The Bloomfield Bees Mathcounts team placed 5th overall on Saturday with additional individuals placings to finish up the day.

The team made of Alexandra Eisenhauer, Andrew Hunhoff , Ian Kuchar, and Made Ziegler traveled to Columbus to compete against 10 teams from Class B down to Class D. These individuals competed in a timed test with no calculator, a time test with a calculator, and
then a team timed test.

From the individual tests, each student was ranked according to their individual score. Representing Bloomfield, Eisenhauer finished 9th and Kuchar in 8th out of 75 plus kids making the top 12 moving on to compete in a Math Countdown round, similar to a Spelling Bee.

The students competed head to head with other individuals to see who can answer each problem the quickest with a single elimination. 

Other students competing in the Mathcounts competition were Heidi One Feather, Blake Byerly, Emelie Johnson, Ryan Johnson, and Katie Kuhlman.
