Bloomfield To Host NE Extension Beef Marketing Workshop

Nebraska Extension will be hosting a beef marketing workshop on Thursday, Feb. 18 from 12:00 noon to 4:00 p.m. at the Bloomfield Community Center in Bloomfield, Nebraska.

Dr. Jay Parsons, Dr. Kate Brooks, and Jim Jansen with Nebraska Extension will present a beef marketing workshop on information and tools designed to help producers manage market risk to achieve production goals.

Topics covered during the workshop include determining cost of production, understanding market environment, and reviewing available marketing tools. 

Specific marketing tools covered during the workshop include futures and options as well as Livestock Risk Protection (LRP) Insurance. 

The workshop does not have a cost for attending and a complementary meal will be provided, but registration is required.
