The Nebraska State Patrol is investigating the death of a Bloomfield man at the Cedar County Jail.
Cedar County Sheriff Larry Koranda says that 52-year old Frank Potts, Jr. of rural Bloomfield was found unresponsive in his cell just before 1 a.m. Tuesday. Sheriff Koranda says Hartington EMS were unable to revive Potts at the jail and he was pronounced dead.
Koranda says Potts was arrested late Monday evening. He was facing charges of refusing a chemical test, driving under the influence of alcohol and resisting arrest.
Other details of the arrest have not been released.
