In Bloomfield Saturday night, there was a lighted vehicle parade to help kick off the holiday season. People lined the sidewalks for the parade as vehicles decorated with lights, snowmen, and more showed off their displays. Candy was thrown for children, and even Santa made a visit as the vehicles made their way down main street. The event was capped off with a fire truck at the caboose, and was a staple event to a bunch of activities that Bloomfield held throughout the day. Among the events during the day was a craft fair sponsored by the Friends of Christmas. Santa visited in the Multi-Purpose room in the Elementary School, sponsored by the Bloomfield Community Club. Horse and Wagon rides, sponsored by the Kelly Bruns family, were at the Bloomfield High School. There was also an Ugly Sweater contest, 1-Mile Walk/Fun Run, soup dinner, tour of homes and the lighting of the Christmas tree. |
