Bloomfield Advances In Lewis & Clark Tournament

In Lewis & Clark girls' basketball action Thursday night, the Bloomfield Queen Bees defeated the Wausa Lady Vikings 42-25.  Bloomfield took a slim 19-14 lead into halftime, but exploded for 19 third quarter points to take a 38-19 lead into the final quarter.

Leading scoring for the Queen Bees was Leah Poppe with 15 points.  Other scorers for Bloomfield were Amber Bruegman with 9, Michelle Wachter with 7, Karley Jensen and Sarah Kasteneda with 4 each, and Brittany Kerbel with 3.

No stats were available for Wausa.

Bloomfield will play Friday at 6 pm in Ponca against top-seed Emerson-Hubbard.
