In 2003 the First National Service Center opened its doors in our Bloomfield Community, at the time providing 25 full-time positions with full benefits.

Today the facility employs 39 people with the capacity to house up to 70 employees. “We would fill every desk in the building with part-time or full-time positions if we had the applicant flow,” states Ashley Holtz, the facility manager.

The site is currently celebrating 15 Years of Service with seven employees who have been there since the site opened. Marvin Mann, Sondra Lange, Deb Vanness, Kathy Hallvin, Judy Jorgenson, Melinda Wattier, and Susan Hanson have all maintained a career with First National Bank of Omaha since the door originally opened.

Marvin Mann recalls when he first started all the employees were hired as collectors making outbound calls to First National customers.

Today the facility is a Customer Service department and takes incoming calls from customers regarding their credit card accounts.

Deb Vanness said that the company offers a great benefit package to both part-time and full-time employees so even when she gets ready for retirement she may consider staying on part time.

Deb and Marvin both agreed the management team truly cares about their teams, making the job that much more enjoyable.

“It’s just all around a great place to work,” Marvin said. Sondra Lange also agreed First National Service Center is just a special place.

Kathy Hallvin said she has stayed with the company for 15 year because the work continues to be interesting and her co-workers are like family to her.

“I could retire, but I truly enjoy the job so much I keep coming back,” Kathy stated.
