The Queen Bees traveled to Wynot to take on Laurel-Concord-Coleridge (LCC) for their consolation game in the Lewis & Clark Tournament on January 30.
LCC jumped to take an 5-0 lead against the Bees. Following a foul on Michaela Johnson, she sunk both free throws to put the girls on the board. LCC bounced back with a three-pointer before Bloomfield returned with threes by Michelle Wachter and then Bree Eisenhauer.
Before LCC could score again, Jaiden Johnson hit a two-pointer to put the Bees on top 10-8. The Bears dropped a pair of threes in return to end the quarter with LCC on a three point lead.
Johnson hit another along side Emma Fiedler's back to back scores. Coach Mlady's Bees held the second quarter to within one to trail at half at 21-17.
Following the break, LCC's offense came alive to take two big quarters to hold the Queen Bees to 17 while racking up 46 points in the second half. LCC would come away with the win 67-34.
The girls drop to 6-14 on the season. Bloomfield looks to break a seven game losing streak against Wausa this Friday evening. Wausa is struggling this season as well, sitting 9-10 on the season on a two-game losing streak of its own.
