A fantastic season for the Bloomfield Bees came crashing to an end Tuesday night at the hands of Falls City Sacred Heart.
In a battle of the two teams with the longest current playoff streaks in the state - FCSH has been to 30 straight playoffs while Bloomfield has qualified for 29 straight - the Bees were unable to get their power running game rolling.
The Irish jumped out to a big lead early, eventually entering halftime with a 40-0 lead before calling off the dogs and cruising to a 46-12 win.
The Irish held Bloomfield's Quentin Moles, the second-leading rusher in the state, to just 124 yards on 37 carries. He still managed two touchdowns. The rest of the Bees combined for just 37 yards.
The loss ends the Bees' season at 10-2, a four-win improvement over 2016.
