Wausa Host Tournament Friday, Verdigre Takes Home 2nd

The Wausa Vikings 16/18 softball team hosted a four-team tournament Friday night in Wausa.

The Vikings hosted Verdigre, Randolph, and Wynot in the round-robin style tournament, with each team playing three games. The first round of games started at 5 p.m., with the final games scheduled to start at 8 p.m. Wynot took home the top honors in the tournament, going 3-0. Verdigre took second, beating Wausa and Randolph after dropping game one to Wynot. Randolph's lone win was over the Vikings, which was good for third place. Wausa took home fourth.
