Young and old celebrated the Czech heritage of Verdigre on Sunday at the ZCBJ Hall. Those in attendance could enjoy a traditional Czech meal complete with a kolach, polka to the sounds of local resident Leroy Hollmann and the Tyndall Accordion Club, and take in local students' art by viewing the Knox County Art Show on display.
It is estimated that over 180 people enjoyed the lunch, while over 100 were in attendance for the music and to view the art.
Thanks to all who came to support upkeep of the ZCBJ Hall in Verdigre. This is an important landmark of the town, as well as a place for many events and gatherings in the community.
