Niobrara-Verdigre Finishes Runner-Up At St. Mary's Tourney

The Niobrara-Verdigre freshmen and sophomores finished runner-up at the St. Mary's tournament on Saturday.

The Cougars topped West Boyd in the first round before edging Neligh-Oakdale in the semi-final. North Central won in the final.

Playing for Niobrara-Verdigre on Saturday were  Erika Kitto, Emerson Randa, Jolee Crosley, Megan Cook, Ashlyn Hamilton, Bema Akbermet, Selina Lipp and Courtney Hrbek.
