"Reading is to the mind what exercise is to the body." - Richard Steele.
The Verdigre Public Library has been working hard to provide a great environment for mind exercises.
On June 21, many volunteers started the process of packing up and moving books as well as clearing out the library so new carpet could be laid. The south and east walls were also painted. Bookshelves, different genres of books, and computers were rearranged by Library Director Katie Hollmann. There is also a new lego table in the children's area.
Marcella Forejt, assistant at the library, has been hard at work putting books back on the shelves.
The first story time at the library for kids will be this Saturday, July 11. It will last from 11 am to noon. Story hour has a superhero theme this year.
All are welcome to stop in and see the updates to the library and to exercise their minds!
