Over 35 tractors traveled north out of Verdigre this morning on the 7th Annual Verdigre Valley Antique Tractor Ride. Organizer John Dather was expecting a large crowd today. The caravan could be seen heading out of town just after 9 am this morning. Tractors came from as far as Genoa, Wayne, Crofton, and Yankton to participate in the ride.
After heading out of town, the group went on gravel roads toward Niobrara. They ended up in Pishelville for lunch, then come on the bottom road to end up at the Verdigre Hermitage.
Dather hoped to average 10 mph on the 70-mile trek.
There was no cost to attend the drive.
