Wausa hosted Osmond for a quarterfinal match of the Lewis & Clark Basketball tournament on February 1.
The game was under way #3 seed Osmond putting up the first five points on the board. It wasn't until four minutes in that the VIking offense starting put up numbers. Wausa rallied with Ghatlin Hegge and Drew Munter to finish out the quarter seven points. The Tigers put in a late quarter basket leaving the game all tied up after the first.
Tyson Kaiser, along with John Rosberg found a fieldgoal between Osmond's fierce offense. The Tigers put up 15 points to the Wausa pair until the two-minute mark. Hegge finished out the half with five more points. The Vikings trailed at half by seven.
Both sides struggled after the half. Osmond trickled a couple in before Wausa's Munter put down its only score of the quarter. Osmond followed up with a six point string to close out the third.
Not ready to give up, Wausa put up its best quarter of the game racking up 10 points the final quarter. Unfortunately, the Tigers did the same with a strong late quarter finish to close the Vikings out at 51-30.
Wausa will travel to Creighton tomorrow evening for a boys matchup.
