Ralph Alanzo Dempsay, 72, passed away in hospice on July 26, 2018 in Lee Summit, MO. He is survived by his wife Jeanne, sister Charlotte Kiichler, children Rhonda Meister (Dempsay), David Dempsay, Shawn Dempsay, Nancy Cromer (Dempsay), and Laura Dempsay, 13 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren and many adored nieces and nephews.

Ralph was born in Coleridge, Nebraska on October 30, 1945, graduated Coleridge High  School in 1964, and married his high school sweetheart, Jeanne Halleen on August 14, 1965.  He is preceded in death by father Ralph A. Dempsay , mother Florence and brother Leroy.

Ralph had many occupations in life  but was best known as Maintenance Supervisor at Bloomfield public schools in Nebraska from 1983 to 1996. He took great pride in the football field which was always in great condition. Hobbies of Ralph were amateur photography and stained glassworks, but by far his greatest passion was for his family; children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. He loved each one as a gift from God, unique and special, and saw them as much as he could.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, August 3 at Ebenezer Congregational Church, 801 B St., Lincoln, Nebraska at 11:00 am. Memorials can be sent in care of Ebenezer Church. Ralph’s ashes will be interred at a later date.
