Funeral Services For Roger Carlow

Funeral services for Roger Carlow, age 64, of Bloomfield, Nebraska will be 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 16, 2015, at St. Mark’s Lutheran Church in Bloomfield. Reverend Tim Koester will officiate, with burial in Bloomfield City Cemetery.

Visitation will be Tuesday from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the church.

Brockhaus Funeral Home in Bloomfield is in charge of arrangements.

Roger died Friday, December 11, 2015, at Avera Sacred Heart Hospital in Yankton, South Dakota, after battling lung cancer.

Roger Lee Carlow was born on June 25, 1951 in Osmond, Nebraska to George and Leona (Leuenhagen) Carlow. He resided in Bloomfield, Nebraska and attended Bloomfield High School. Roger worked in construction for 23 years and then worked at Waldbaum for 24 years until he retired in May of this year.

Roger was a member of St. Mark’s Lutheran Church in Bloomfield. His favorite thing to do was to get on his Harley and ride to wherever he wanted to go. Roger also enjoyed fishing, hunting with his dogs, boating, and spending time with his girls. His friends could always count on him to be up at 3:00 a.m. driving around or watching the Weather Channel. Roger was very well known around town for a unique personality, helping hand, and open door.

Roger is survived by his two daughters, Ashley Beeken and husband Josh of Norfolk and Miranda Plumbtree and husband Tyler of Norfolk; three grandchildren, Kylie Beeken (7), Brantley Plumbtree (3), and Ryker Plumbtree (to be born on December 28th); sister, Robin Brown of Yankton, South Dakota; two brothers, Leland Carlow of Yankton and Milton Carlow of Dakota City; two nephews; and many cousins and friends.

​He is preceded in death by his parents, George and Leona Carlow; and two siblings.
