Funeral Services For Libbie Kumm

Funeral services for Libbie Kumm, age 100, of Bloomfield, Nebraska will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, October 22, 2016, at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Lindy, Nebraska. Reverend Tom Jacobson will officiate, with burial in Bloomfield City Cemetery.

Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the church. Brockhaus Funeral Home in Bloomfield is in charge of arrangements.

Libbie died Wednesday, October 19, 2016, at Good Samaritan Society in Bloomfield.

Libbie Frances Kumm was born July 19, 1916, to Charles and Mary (Pochup) Kudera. She attended rural schools in the Osmond, Nebraska area. Libbie helped on the family farm through her school years and beyond. She was united in marriage to Leonard Kumm on March 22, 1937, at the Lutheran Church in Osmond, Nebraska. They farmed in the Center and Lindy area until their retirement. Leonard passed away in 2001. Libbie continued to live in Lindy until 2004, when she moved to Good Samaritan Society in Bloomfield, Nebraska. There she was able to enjoy time spent with relatives, playing cards and dominos with grandchildren, and bingo with her friends.

Libbie is survived by her three sons, Marlin (Patty) Kumm of Lindy, Garry (Bev) Kumm of Bloomfield, and Delwyn (Kathy) Kumm of Creighton; ten grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; 11 great-great-grandchildren; and one great-great-great-grandchild; two sisters-in-law, Betty and Kathleen Kudera both of Plainview; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Mary; her husband, Leonard; four brothers, Leonard, Raymond, Stanley, and Duane; one sister, Margie; two sisters-in-law, Bernice Kudera and Alice Cooper; one grandson, Monty Lynn; and one great-great-granddaughter, Jazmine.
