Funeral Services For Jon Kreizel

​Graveside services for Jon Kreizel, age 63, of Bloomfield, Nebraska will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, November 3, 2017, at Omaha National Cemetery in Omaha, Nebraska.
 
Military Honors will be provided by United States Navy Honor Guard.
 
Visitation will be Thursday from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Brockhaus Funeral Home in Creighton, Nebraska.
 
Jon died Wednesday, October 25, 2017, at his residence.
 
Jon F. Kreizel, son of Dan and Marcelyn (Larsen) Kreizel, was born July 13, 1954, at Turner Air Force Base in Georgia. Jon attended Sunny Mead School in Sunny Mead, California, where he graduated in 1972.
 
Jon had many seasons in his life. On December 20, 1974, he was united in marriage to Grace Attinson in Riverside, California. He gained (adopted) three children from this marriage. On June 24, 1986, he married his second wife, Esther Hourst, who gave birth to his only biological son, Christopher, and he also gained (adopted) Tina. On October 3, 2003, he married Laurie Voborny and he gained five children, Lisa, Andrew, Cassandra, Jordan, Brianna, and Michael.
 
Jon had many hobbies. He was a fisherman even though he wouldn’t eat fish. Jon was an animal lover, enjoyed camping, working, playing cards, traveling, and spending time with family and friends.  Jon loved his country. He joined the United States Navy in 1974, and served until 1976. He was stationed aboard the USS Enterprise CVAN 65 Company 302, and served in the Vietnam War.
 
Jon was a member of First Trinity Lutheran Church in Bloomfield and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1151 in Creighton. In his early years, Jon was involved in Boy Scouts, FFA, and 4-H.
 
Jon is survived by his son, Christopher of Bloomfield, Nebraska; his first wife, Grace and children, Robert and Janet Hampton of California, Marie Noonan, Chris and Tiffany Noonan all of California; his second wife, Esther and daughter Tina of California; his third wife, Laurie and children, Lisa and Charles Foresman of Tennessee, Andrew, JoBeth, Cassandra, Jordan, and Michael of Nebraska; brothers, Robert and Bill; sisters, Sondra and Jon Flanders and Ensley of Kansas; and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
 
He was preceded in death by his parents, Dan Kreizel and Marcelyn (Larsen) Kreizel; sister, Pam Kreizel; a brother-in-law; and a grandchild.
