Funeral Services For Joan Wagner

Mass of Christian Burial for Joan Wagner, age 76, of Winnetoon, Nebraska will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, September 25, 2015, at St. Ludger Catholic Church in Creighton, Nebraska. Reverend Jeff Lorig will be Celebrant, with burial in St. Ludger Cemetery in Creighton.

Visitation will be Thursday from 3:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the church, with a 6:30 p.m. Wake Service.

Brockhaus Funeral Home in Creighton is in charge of arrangements.

Joan died Monday, September 21, 2015, at Faith Regional Health Services in Norfolk, Nebraska.

Joan Donna (Nickols) Wagner, daughter of Raymond and Leora Nickols, was born July 19, 1939, at Wayne, Nebraska. Joan attended school in Wayne. On April 17, 1958, she was united in marriage to Everett Wagner at Wayne. Six children were born to them: Julie, Jon, Pamela, Donna, Lisa, and Brian.

Joan was a member of St. Ludger Catholic Church, Catholic Daughters of America, and Altar Society. She was also a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary and American Legion Auxiliary. Joan was a member of a bowling team for over 30 years. She liked to sew and make quilts for her children and grandchildren. Joan also had a passion for gardening and canning. She loved to attend her grandchildren’s activities.

Joan is survived by her husband, Everett of Winnetoon, Nebraska, her children, Julie (Daniel) Muehlbauer of Norfolk, Nebraska, Jon (Pam) Wagner of Winnetoon, Nebraska, Pamela (Gerald) Krienert of Osmond, Nebraska, Donna Wagner of Norfolk, Nebraska, and Lisa (Mark) Koeppe of Hadar, Nebraska; daughter-in-law, Kathy Wagner of Creighton, Nebraska; 15 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren, with another due soon; siblings, Lorriane Mann of Columbus, Nebraska, LaVonne Rost, James R.W. Nickols of Omaha, Nebraska and Ethel Nickols of Sioux City, Iowa; in-laws, Hans (Ruth) Wagner of Norfolk, Nebraska and Herbert (Loretta) Wagner of Winnetoon.

She was preceded in death by her son, Brian; parents, Raymond and Leora Nickols; and sister, Wuanita Wagner.
