Funeral Services For Dwain Moseman

Funeral services for Dwain Moseman, age 87, of Wausa, Nebraska will be 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, December 19, 2017, at Thabor Lutheran Church in Wausa. Reverend Carl Sirotzki will officiate, with burial in Lutheran Cemetery in Wausa.

Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church.

Brockhaus Funeral Home in Wausa is in charge of arrangements.

Dwain died Thursday, December 14, 2017, at Gold Crest Retirement Center in Adams, Nebraska.

Dwain Harold Moseman, son of Ernest and Anna (Bureson) Moseman, was born February 17, 1930, in Burt County, Nebraska. He attended school in the Oakland, Nebraska area. Dwain served in the United States Air Force at Mitchell Air Force Base in Long Island, New York. He was united in marriage to Rita Mainquist on June 9, 1951, at Mission Covenant Church in Wausa, Nebraska. Five children were born to them, twins, Kathleen and Constance, Daniel, Lori, and Jodi.

Dwain was a member of Thabor Lutheran Church. He was a quiet, contemplative, and creative man with a heart of gold. He loved to have coffee with friends, work in his shop, and fish.

He is survived by his wife, Rita of Adams, Nebraska; daughter, Kathleen Brown of Longview, Texas; son, Daniel (Jo Ann) Moseman of Firth, Nebraska; daughter, Jodi (Gregory) Derks of Firth; six grandchildren, Anne, April, Elissa, Andrew, Emily, Brandon and their families, including five great-grandchildren; siblings, Wesley Moseman, Norma Pippitt, and Darold Moseman.

He was preceded in death by his daughters, Constance and Lori; brother, Clinton Moseman; and son-in-law, Dan Brown.
