Funeral services for Delores Wesche, age 81, of Verdigre, Nebraska will be at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 29, 2015, at the Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Verdigre. Reverend Terry Huber will officiate, with burial in Riverside Cemetery in Verdigre.
Visitation will be Monday from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Brockhaus Funeral Home in Verdigre.
Delores died Wednesday, December 23, 2015, at Alpine Village in Verdigre.
Delores LaVerne Wesche, daughter of Paul and Edna (Paulsen) Drongesen, was born May 10, 1934, at Hay Springs, Nebraska. Her family moved to Brunswick, Nebraska in 1945. Delores graduated from Brunswick High School. On December 18, 1955, she was united in marriage to Donald Charles Wesche. To this union six children were born: Gailyn, Joann, Ronald, Michael, Janice, and Cheryl. They made their home on a farm north of Verdigre, Nebraska.
Delores was a homemaker and helped Donald on the farm. She also worked in the dietary department at Lundberg Memorial Hospital in Creighton, Nebraska. Delores enjoyed working in her flower beds and garden. She especially enjoyed her kids, grandkids, and great-grandkids. Delores was a member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church and American Legion Auxiliary in Verdigre.
Delores is survived by her children, Gailyn (Kathy) Wesche of Norfolk, Nebraska, Joann (Rick) Robinette of Norfolk, Ronnie of Verdigre, Nebraska, Mike of Orchard, Nebraska, Janice (Marvin) Rosberg of Norfolk, and Cheryl (Dusty) Ickler of Homer, Nebraska; 16 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; sister, Lois (Don) Klabenes of Plainview, Nebraska; and sister-in-law, Marlene (Pat) Chase of Ainsworth, Nebraska.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald; parents, Paul and Edna Drongesen; and father and mother-in-law, Carl and Elsa Wesche.
