Funeral Services For Delores Dahlkoetter

Funeral services for Delores Dahlkoetter, age 89, of Norfolk, Nebraska will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, April 8, 2017, at Mount Olive Lutheran Church in Norfolk. Pastor Adrian E. Hanft will officiate, with burial in Prospect Hill Cemetery in Norfolk.

Visitation will be Friday from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Brockhaus-Howser-Fillmer Funeral Home in Norfolk.

Delores died Tuesday, April 4, 2017, at St. Joseph’s Rehabilitation and Care Center in Norfolk.

Delores L. (Crabtree) Dahlkoetter, daughter of William and Merle (Haswell) Crabtree, was born May 15, 1927, at Wausa, Nebraska. Delores attended school in Norfolk, Nebraska. On December 29, 1947, she was united in marriage to Alvin H. Dahlkoetter. They were blessed with seven children. Delores lived in Norfolk all of her life. She was a member of Mount Olive Lutheran Church and Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary. Delores enjoyed playing nickels with her two sisters to pass the time.

Delores is survived by her children, Cheryl Bettin of Norfolk, Nebraska, Curt (Kaye) Dahlkoetter of Tucson, Arizona, Danny Dahlkoetter of Mesa, Arizona, Debby Barkley of Norfolk, Tammy (Tim) Larson of Brush, Colorado, and Scott (Jon) Dahlkoetter of Jamestown, California; ten grandchildren, Tony Bettin (Resa), Roger (Melisa) Bettin, Chad Dahlkoetter, Justin (Amber) Dahlkoetter, Jesse Dahlkoetter, Alan (Sara) Dahlkoetter, Todd (Jamie) Dikeman, Dane Dikeman, Gina (Basil) Jamison, and Teddi (Danny) Lennon; 21 great-grandchildren, Danielle, T.J., Kita, Julia, McKenna, Staria, Richie, Damien, Derek, Seth, Ian, Skylar, Addison, Laney, Rose, Eldon, Cedric, Tamia, Malia, Amari, and Sidney; two great-great-grandchildren, Alyssa and Kaitlyn; and sisters, JaNell Kanter and Donnie Volquardsen both of Norfolk, and Cloydette Cox of Boise, Idaho.

​She was preceded in death by her husband, Alvin Dahlkoetter; infant son, Doug; and grandson, Kruz Barkley.
