Funeral Services For Corolla "Jackie" Patras

Funeral services for Corolla “Jackie” Patras, age 73, of Plainview, Nebraska will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday, October 20, 2016, at Brockhaus Funeral Home in Creighton, Nebraska. Chaplain Dale Pracht will officiate, with burial in Brunswick Cemetery in Brunswick, Nebraska.

Visitation will be Wednesday from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. at the funeral home

Jackie died Sunday, October 16, 2016, at her residence.

Corolla J. “Jackie” Classen Clemans Patras, daughter of Lambert and Hilda (Jacobi) Classen, was born August 9, 1943, at her parent’s farm near Meadow Grove, Nebraska. She attended Pierce County District 37 School and graduated from Tilden High School in 1961. On January 21, 1984, Jackie was married to Ralph Patras at Trinity Lutheran Church in Foster, Nebraska. She was blessed with three children: Corolla, Kristine, and Rich.

Jackie graduated from Joseph’s College of Beauty in Norfolk in 1986, and worked as a beautician. She later worked as a certified nurse’s aide and medication aide at Plainview Manor, where she greatly enjoyed caring for the elderly. Jackie loved her nursing home staff and residents. She was passionate about farming, gardening, and canning the harvest from her garden. Jackie also liked to go fishing and hunting. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Foster and American Legion Auxiliary #148.

Jackie is survived by her husband, Ralph of Plainview, Nebraska; children, Corolla J. Lauck of Sioux Falls, South Dakota, Kristine (Mike) Wright of Port Orange, Florida, and Rich Clemans of Battle Creek, Nebraska; eight grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; five step-children; and her siblings, Doug (Stella) Classen of Meadow Grove, Nebraska, Joyce Nelson of Albany, Oregon, and Dace Sothan of Creighton, Nebraska.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers; and four sisters.
