Funeral Services For Camilla Bruegman

​Funeral services for Camilla Bruegman, age 90 of Bloomfield, Nebraska, will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday, January 18, 2018, at First Trinity Lutheran Church in Bloomfield.  Pastor Jacob Bobby will officiate, with burial in Bloomfield City Cemetery.
 
Visitation will be Wednesday from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the church.
 
Brockhaus Funeral Home in Bloomfield is in charge of arrangements.
 
Camilla died, Friday, January 12, 2018, at Osmond General Hospital in Osmond, Nebraska.
 
Camilla Arlene Bruegman, daughter of John Henry and Cora Myrtle (Powell) Menkens, was born March 27, 1927, on the family farm five miles east of Center, Nebraska. She was baptized and confirmed at First Trinity Lutheran Church in Bloomfield, Nebraska by Reverend Ollenburg, where she remained a lifetime member.
 
Camilla attended Number 67 Country School and graduated from Bloomfield High School in 1944. She also attended Wayne State College. Camilla worked at Grand Island Ordnance plant during World War II. She then taught in rural schools near her home for many years.
 
On June 30, 1948, Camilla married Robert Bruegman at First Lutheran Church in Omaha, Nebraska. They made their home on a farm east of Center for the next 25 years. To this union six children were born. In the fall of 1972, Camilla and Robert moved to Bloomfield. She started working at Bloomfield Good Samaritan Society as dietary supervisor, retiring in 1999. She was a member of First Trinity Ladies Aid, American Legion Auxiliary, Senior Citizens, and many card clubs.
 
Camilla is survived by her six children, Rebecca (Lyle) Kuhlman of Osmond, Nebraska, Richard (Deb) Bruegman of Pierce, Nebraska, Rosalyn (Bruce) Meyer of Dayton, Nevada, Rita (Leon) Beckmann of Center, Nebraska, Robert (Lynette) Bruegman of Lincoln, Nebraska, and Ray (Dana) Bruegman of Omaha, Nebraska; 20 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; eight step-great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Shirley Bruegman; three nieces; and two nephews.
 
She was preceded in death by her husband in July of 2002; one daughter-in-law; two infant granddaughters; and a sister, Lorraine Moser.
