Bradley J. Schumacher, 63, of Crofton, Nebraska, died as a result of a motor vehicle accident on August 28, 2015.
A Mass of a Christian Burial will be at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, September 2, 2015 at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Crofton with Reverend Tim Lange officiating. Visitation is from 5:00 to 8:00 on Tuesday, September 1, 2015 at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church with a rosary and vigil service at 7:00 PM.

Bradley J. Schumacher was born May 23, 1952 in Yankton, South Dakota to Raymond and Marcella (Gentrup) Schumacher. He grew up on a farm near Crofton and graduated from Crofton High School in 1970. Brad began working for Dennis Schieffer Masonry for a few years until moving to Lynch, Nebraska, where he owned and operated B.J.'s Bar. In 1981, he moved to Randolph, Nebraska and opened B.J.'s Bar in Randolph. He worked for Terra Chemical in Bloomfield and later moved to Norfolk, Nebraska where he started Schumacher Exterminator Co and later moved his business to Crofton, Nebraska in 1986. Brad married Rita Magwire (the love of his life) on July 7, 2007 and they moved into a home they built together east of Crofton.
He was a member of the American Quarter Horse Association and enjoyed fishing, gardening, riding horses, playing cards,and big game hunting in the Northwest Territory. Brad had a great laugh and sense of humor. He was a wonderful man who was always willing to help others and loved to tell stories, but more than anything he loved his wife, Rita.
Survivors include his wife, Rita Schumacher of Crofton; son, Jamie (Nina) Schumacher of Washington; three step-children: Jason (Mindi) Magwire of Norfolk; Shaun (Crystal) Magwire of Winside, Nebraska; and Stacy Magwire of Taneytown, Maryland; 11 grandchildren: Chase, Kaydence, Maddox, Mace, Joey, Shailinn, Sean, Layla, Antone, Kaleb, and Brody; his mother, Marcella (Marvin) Lammers of Yankton; nine brothers and sisters: Cindy (Jim) Hilligas of Garfield, Arkansas; Dennis (Cindy) Schumacher of Crofton; Bill (Diane) Schumacher of Wausa, Nebraska; Pam Sprakel of Yankton; Carmine (Robert) Nice of Malmo, Nebraska; Keith (Rhonda) Schumacher of Howells, Nebraska; Luann (Duane) Schumacher of Bloomfield, Nebraska; John (Kristi) Schumacher of Sgt Bluff, Iowa; and Roger (Angie) Schumacher of Sarepta, Louisiana. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Raymond Schumacher; and grandparents: Conrad and Mary Gentrup and John and Margaret Schumacher.
